Stargaze

Could we when we find
We take apart?,
Examine until we reign over this empire-
That is Nowhere.

When we take apart,
You steer calmly somehow past
The sluggish mechanics of speech
Through the trapdoor to a dimension with new colours.

Stare into the maddening abyss but pull out, laughing,
Before it looks back.

Could we when we see you
Lend me your exact-fit eyes?,
Swap and stargaze until we discover
Their silent dances and secret patterns,
The diverging and converging and delicious explosions of thought,
We find ourselves Nowhere.

We've been everywhere.
